Getting Connected Where You Are

Ministry Web Directory (MWD) initiative is a few years old but now coming of age.  Finishers Project is working with IDAK, a career services organization that assists people in finding their sweet spot for work, paid or volunteer, in marketplace or faith-based organizations. 

This service has resonated most with colleges, universities and seminaries as a service to their student and alumni.  It provides a matching service by percent fit, based primarily on the type of activity an organization is about and secondarily on the type of assignment a person is interested in accepting.  This service is particularly important for schools as they must now prove they are effective in equipping graduates for their career in their major. The metric is that graduates get and thrive in an appropriate job.  

The website is based on 2005 technology. The current initiative is to update the website to include state-of-the-art communication tools.  Leaders are in negotiation with a foundation to fund this initiative.
